19 Week Bumpdate!

How far along: 19 weeks!
Gender: Unknown
Weight gain: Also unknown – although I’m expecting to find out at my next appointment in October. Yikes.
Maternity clothes: I brought out a few shirts and tanks this week. Only because they are the only things that are currently comfortable, aside from leggings and sweatpants! And with this current weather, I’m running out of clothing!
Stretch marks: No
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: Okay … there have been a few early mornings when I’m just -BAM- awake and can’t get back to sleep! Which is really great, when you have to teach all day.
Best moment this week: We picked out our crib, and now it is sitting in its box waiting for the nursery set up to begin! Now to try and find time to do that … still have loads of time right!?
Worst moment this week: Uh, well I ate delicious Vietnamese noodles with spring rolls and fresh vegetables and bean sprouts this week. It wasn’t until after that I discovered you are NOT supposed to be eating raw bean sprouts. So I had a mild (okay no so mild!)
Miss anything: Always missing sandwiches/deli meat/Subway. I almost caved and convinced myself that I could go get one that was toasted, but after the bean sprout fiasco … I think I’ll avoid foods I’m not supposed to eat for a while.
Movement: No 😦
Cravings: Still nothing out of the ordinary for me – apples and oranges. All the time.
Queasy or sick: None at all!
Aversions: … still plain chicken. I have been forcing myself to eat meat. I ate a STEAK this week. Pretty dark quickly but I still ate it!
Looking forward to: Our ultrasound coming up this week! Finishing up this registry! Oh, and also looking forward to hitting up The Baby Show (which, by the time this will be posted, I will have gone to already!)

18 Week Bumpdate!

How far along: 18 weeks
Gender: Unknown
Weight gain: Also unknown – although I’m expecting to find out at my next appointment in October. Yikes.
Maternity clothes: Not really … leggings, baggy tees and sweaters (when it’s cool enough!) are currently making up what I’m wearing these days.
Stretch marks: No
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: FABULOUS. Work hasn’t quite picked up yet so I am in the wonderful first few weeks of September where I can just sleep in — and TRUST ME that is EXACTLY what I’ve been doing. I’ve heard it sleep becomes harder to come by as you get further along.
Best moment this week: Well, I’ve had my eye on a beautiful knitted blanket I have intended to start for a few weeks now … so I am attempting to learn how to knit! For those of you who know me, I have been an avid crocheter for the last few years. Knitting is a whole other ball (or skein … get it, anyone?).
… I also started incorporating YOGA into my workout routines. Let’s just say it was wayyy more difficult than I thought it would be.
Miss anything: The usual suspects (sushi, deli meat and caffeine). I had this random day when I REALLY wanted a glass of wine, but thats it!
Movement: NONE!
Cravings: Mostly carb-ish items. I did get the nachos I was craving last week this week though! For those of you who know me, food cravings are things that happen to me on a daily basis even when not pregnant so, I don’t think I’ve had cravings that are out of the ordinary. Still rocking quick and easy snacks though!
Queasy or sick: None at all!
Aversions: STILL chicken in plain naked form, and apparently whole olives.
Looking forward to: This HEAT to end. Seriously. I basically have NO clothes that fit comfortably and are suitable for this weather. So if the cooler weather could just get here … like SOON, that would be great!

17 Week Bumpdate!

(This post is perhaps a week late … but better late than never!)
How far along: 17 weeks
Gender: Unknown
Weight gain: Also unknown.
Maternity clothes: I have invested in a few items of clothes, but not wearing much yet!
Stretch marks: No
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: Seems to be good so far … aside from a few rough nights! Also this pillow has been a godsend! The only complaint I have is waking up too early because I’m hungry (but really, how can you complain about that?).
Best moment this week: FINALLY hearing baby’s heartbeat. One of the most amazing sounds I have heard in my entire life. Oh, and making it “facebook official” of course!
Worst moment this week: Pregnancy hormones are in full effect! I basically cry at everything. Like not fitting into any of my clothes. Yes. I cried.
Miss anything: SUSHI. DELI MEAT. AMERICANOS. I miss fitting into all of my clothes, I am in the “looks like I’ve eaten too much pizza” stage where most of my tops are just a little too snug but can’t make maternity tops work yet.
Movement: No … wait a second! *stomach gurgles* … nope. I patiently wait …
Cravings: Giant soft pretzels, nachos and cheese, and pancakes, but those seem to be the random ones of the week. Moreso all I want is oranges, apples, pears, strawberries and Greek yogurt. I could eat that every day!
Queasy or sick: None at all!
Aversions: Chicken (unless it is in some sort of dippable form OR loaded up with sauce), EGGS, PICKLES (RIGHT!? I had a horrible experience on Canada Day and ever since that .. nope). Also brushing my teeth has become a struggle.
Looking forward to: FALL! The cooler weather, giant sweaters, warm drinks and just being cozy and comfortable!
